What to Bring to Rehab

Download our digital packing list for inpatient rehab at The Hope House.

By definition, attending rehab at an inpatient, residential facility means you will leave your typical surroundings and stay on-site for a period of time. While this level of treatment can be very effective and help you overcome your addiction, it also means bringing your key essentials with you that are inline with facility guidelines.

We’ve put together an approved packing list for The Hope House to ensure you bring all the items you’ll need with you, and set you up for greater success during your treatment.

What NOT to Bring to Rehab

While ensuring you bring the right items with you to rehab, it is also important that you avoid bringing specific items.

To better set you up for success in treatment there are some items that we do not allow during treatment. However, special accommodations can be made in extenuating circumstances.

  • Personal vehicles
  • Weapons, scissors, mace, knives and more
  • Products containing alcohol (ie: some mouthwashes, etc)
  • Candles, incense, or air fresheners
  • Unapproved medications or over the counter medications (if you have prescription medications you need to continue taking, alert our staff prior to treatment for special accommodations.)
  • Expensive jewelry, expensive clothing, or any other high value items
  • Protein powder, energy drinks, steroids, or weight control products of any kind
  • Laptops, tablets, gaming devices/consoles, or any other internet connected devices

If you require electronic devices to continue working during rehab, we offer an Executive Treatment Program that custom tailors your treatment to your professional needs.
